Rethinking how cities breathe and sound

A project to reduce the health impact of air and noise pollution in Europe

Our holistic approach

Connecting Urban Pollution, Health, and Sustainable Decision Support

At HARMONIE (Health Assessment Refinement for Mitigation of Noise and Air Quality Effects) we aim to reduce the health impacts of air and noise pollution in European cities by providing decision-support tools that help assess and plan environmental actions.

We link pollution monitoring with health outcomes, model the effects of different urban measures, and support cities in designing fairer, more effective climate strategies that can be scaled across Europe.

Why HARMONIE matters

Four perspectives for greater wellbeing

Environment
Cleaner air & quieter cities
People
Protecting vulnerable groups
Policy
Stronger, evidence-based decisions
Economy
More efficient use of resources
